Do I need a separate sign-in for each account?
No. Your profile can belong to more than one account, and you switch between them from the menu in the lower left.
Do subscribers have to confirm before they’re added?
People who sign up through a form confirm by email before they’re added. If you add or import people yourself, they don’t get a confirmation email, so only add people who expect to hear from you.
Can I bring my list from another platform?
Yes. Big Cartel, Gumroad, Patreon, Shopify, Squarespace, and Wix can connect to XOXO, so people keep arriving after the first import. For everywhere else, import a CSV and match its columns to your subscriber fields.
Can I send to part of my audience?
Yes. Save a filtered list as a group, then choose that group as the audience for an email.
Can I use subscriber details in emails?
Yes. Create fields for the details you want to save, then type @ while writing to insert one as a variable.
Why can’t I send yet?
The Checks list in the Send panel names what’s in the way. The usual reasons are a missing subject, an empty email, no subscribers in the selected audience, or incomplete sending setup. Sending explains each check.
What happens when someone unsubscribes, bounces, or marks spam?
XOXO removes the subscriber and remembers why. Manual adds, imports, and connections can’t add that address back. If the person later confirms a signup form themselves, unsubscribe, bounce, and manual removals are cleared. Spam complaints are permanent.
Can I use my own sender address?
Yes. Set it in your account settings. For best results, use an address at a domain you own, then verify your sending email so emails send directly from it.
Can I export my audience?
Yes. Export everyone, a group, or the filtered list you’re looking at. Subscribers has the steps.
